Most organizations are being told to adopt AI right now — by vendors, by peers, by headlines. Few are being asked the question that actually matters first: is your data ready to support it?
That question is the reason we’re renaming our Business Intelligence practice to AI & Data Solutions. The new name isn’t just a refresh — it reflects a philosophy we’ve held for a while: you can’t build reliable AI, automation, or reporting on top of a data foundation that isn’t solid. Skip that step, and the result is usually the same story we hear over and over — a tool that was supposed to save time instead becomes one more thing nobody trusts.
Under the new name, the work itself isn’t changing direction so much as getting a clearer front door. We still start where we’ve always started: understanding what data you actually have, how clean and connected it is, and what it can realistically support. From there, the path might lead to cleaning up what’s broken, connecting systems that don’t talk to each other, automating a manual process, or eventually building AI tools and agents that act on your data directly. The order matters — assess and build the foundation, then put AI to work on top of it.
If you’ve worked with our team before, nothing about that relationship changes. If you haven’t, the new name is a good excuse to ask yourself the question we ask every client before anything else: if your data were in great shape tomorrow, what would you actually want to do with it?
That’s usually where the real conversation starts.
